Submission Guidelines

  [Note: About presentation style]
From the viewpoint of preventing infection with the novel coronavirus, poster presentations will not be held at this meeting as usual.
The presentation will be either "oral" or "viewing PDF on the web".
The presentation style will be determined by the meeting chairperson.
  1. Application Requirements
The first author must be a member of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (JSPE), (annual membership fee paid for 2020) or be in the process of applying for membership at the time of application.
If you are not a member of the JSPE, please apply for membership at the secretariat of JSPE at the same time as applying for your presentation.
However, applicants from overseas, students from medical schools and other departments (excluding graduate students) or post-graduate clinical residents (until the second year), are not required to be members of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology to submit as a first author.

      There may be a discrepancy between the number of characters counted by Microsoft Word and the number of characters counted at the time of registration with this abstract submission system.
Please check the number of characters on this registration screen when you make an abstract.
    <Numbers of authors and institutions>
      In the abstract submission page, the maximum number of authors is 20.
If you have more than 21 authors, please submit online and send an email to the Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE as follows.
      1) Please submit up to 19 people on the abstract submission page.
      2) Enter the word "send attached file" in the co-author20 entry.
      3) Please write your login ID, the names of 20 or more authors, the number of an institution, and whether or not he or she is a presenter in a text file and send to the Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE via email (jspe54@gressco.jp) by the deadline for abstract submission.
      4) Submissions cannot be made after the deadline for abstract submission. *Please contact the Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE (jspe54@gressco.jp) for information on how to submit more than 16 institutions.
  3. Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest
    The Japanese Society of Pediatric Endocrinology requests all authors to disclose the past three years any conflicts of interest (COI), pertaining to the presentation.
    (1) During the submission process, you will be prompted to choose your COI status.
    (2) The Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE will add one of the following sentences to the end of your abstract depending on your status of COI.
    · I have COI relationship which should be disclosed.
    · I don`t have COI relationship which should be disclosed.
All authors are requested to disclose any conflicts of interest in the presentation slides or in posters.
The templates which we will post on this website can be used for your convenience.

  4. Presentation Category
    Choose one from the following options.
    1. Oral/Poster Session(Physician, Researcher)
    2. Oral/Poster Session(Nurse, Other healthcare professionals)
    3. Oral/Poster Session(Student, Post-graduate clinical residents (until the second year))
    Presentation Style (Oral viewing PDF on the Web)will be determined by the Meeting chairperson.

There is a first choice (Required) and a second choice (Optional).

  7. Best Presentation Prize, Young Presenter Award
    1) Eligible abstracts and other conditions
    · Only unpublished abstracts or abstracts that have been published after September 1, 2019, are eligible.
    · Abstracts that have been published (including in press) before August 31, 2019 are not eligible.
    · Only members of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology are eligible for the award.
    · In case you are selected as the top 20 candidates, you have to submit proceedings(about 2,500 characters or less in single-byte).Please note that the submission period is scheduled to be from early July to the end of July.
    · All proceedings will be published in the abstract book.
    · Ten candidates will be selected from the top 20, and they are required to make presentation in the afternoon of the first day of the Meeting as a candidate for the award.
*After the presentation, the awards will be selected and presented at the general meeting.
    2) Best Presentation Prize
    · One presentation to be awarded the "best" presentation in the fiscal year.
    · There are no restrictions on age, place of research, number of times the research has been awarded, etc.
    3) Young Presenter Award
    · After selection of the best presentation award, two presentations will be selected, and one will be chosen from the basic category, and the other from the clinical category.
    · Applicants must be under 41 years old as of April 1, 2021 (who was born after April 2, 1980, is eligible.)
    · Applicants have to fill the birth day.
    · The location of research must be in Japan.
    · The applicants must make a presentation as the 1st author.
    · Each presenter can receive a maximum of two awards.
  8. Format
    As a general rule, the body of the abstract should be written with the following titles.
    Basic and Clinical

    Case report
[Introduction] [Case] [Discussion] [Conclusion]
  9. The responsibility of correctness/ Modifications
    · Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.
    · Submitted abstracts will not be edited or proof-read before printing. The first/presenting authors are responsible for his/her abstract.
    · After submitting your presentation, please keep to printout of the confirmation screen for future reference.
    · After the submission period, change of abstract and addition and/or change of authors cannot be made. Please make sure all authors are entered.
  10. Notification of submission and Review
    1) After the abstract submission is complete, you will automatically receive a notification at the e-mail address you entered. Please be sure to confirm your submission by using your login ID and password on the modification page.
    2) If you do not receive a notification, the e-mail address you submitted may have been incorrectly written.
    3) If you do not receive a notification, please contact the Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE (jspe54@gressco.jp), as your abstract has may not been able to submit your abstract.
    4) Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent in early August.
    5) The acceptance or rejection of abstracts and the date and time of presentation should be decided by the chairperson of the Meeting.
    6) It is the applicants responsibility to provide a usable e-mail address of the first author. (please do not use smartphone or mobile phone addresse.
  11. Password and login ID
    1) You need to decide your password when you submit your abstract. Decide on a password with six to eight half-width alphanumeric characters.
    2) A login ID will be issued automatically when the abstract submission is completed. By entering your login ID and password, you will be able to check, modify, or correct your abstract as many times as you like during the abstract submission period. We recommend that you write down your login ID and password or print out the confirmation screen and save it. This is also required when inquiring about acceptance or rejection of abstracts.
    3) The login ID and password must be recorded by the applicant at his or her own respomsibility.
Please note that the Meeting secretariat of the 54th JSPE does not know your password for security reasons.
